Meet Sue Anne

I am a native Southern girl, born in Lexington, KY who loves music, down-home cooking, and family. When I was a young girl my father made a job transfer to Ohio and my family settled on a small farm outside of Dayton, Ohio.

Our playground was the best ever…nature! As kids, we explored wooded land, creek beds, orchards, and large barns to hide in. One of my most priceless possessions I own today is the original Family Bible stored in my grandfathers’ old trunk in a two-story hayloft.

I thought we were rich in many ways. We learned to be resourceful by growing, or making whatever we had. Our acres of corn, large vegetable gardens, and orchards full of apples, peaches and pears were over-flowing and gave us enough to share with others. My little summer fruit stand was a popular place on our old country road. Customers depended on me each day to pick the best red tomatoes, green beans, watermelon and maybe some country eggs for dinner that evening. I believe my upbringing gave me a heart for helping, sharing and giving to others.

Looking back on my childhood I wouldn’t change a thing, especially those cotton-candy sunsets viewed from my little tree house built in a large apple tree overlooking a beautiful valley.

Those who have tried to juggle career, marriage and children know it’s not easy. Along my journey, I’ve discovered areas of my life that must never be compromised. These are family values, integrity, hard work and commitment — the cornerstones of all that I do.

My career has consisted of working in high-level marketing and sales environments for large companies such as Travelers Insurance, Xerox Corporation, Mead Corporation, Frigidaire International, United Healthcare Insurance Company and Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield, along-side experts in their field. I applied this training and knowledge to build an independent insurance agency where I can help others on a more personal level.

Caring for a special person in my life in her twilight years helped me understand the confusion and challenges facing people nearing or having reached Medicare eligibility. Years of experience and education have brought me to one conclusion: Know what you’re talking about and you can help a lot of people.

As I approach my work, I offer compassion, understanding, and a commitment to do the right thing for the client at all times. This Psalm says it all: He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth its fruit in its season. Whose leaf also shall not wither and whatever he does shall prosper. (Psalm 1:3)

As a trusted insurance advisor, I stay informed year after year through education and mandatory certification on all Apple Tree Health Plans insurance products. You are no longer burdened to be the expert. My services are free and I make it easy for you to get the information you need to make an educated choice. I call this, Freedom to Choose!

My clients come from all different walks of life, economic backgrounds, religious and political beliefs. They are unique, one of a kind, and the reason I do what I do every day. I believe every life – has a book in it. I also believe that trust is earned and no long-term relationship can be formed without it.

My husband, Bill, has been a Pastor for 31 years and he has added a dimension to my life that has been most rewarding and fulfilling. Between us, we enjoy the blessings of seven children and 14 grandchildren to love. Our two rescued tiger kittens allow us to live in their home. We enjoy spending time together biking, golfing, sporting events, theater, or just working in our flower gardens. Every now and then, you may find me sitting on Bill’s Harley Davidson motorcycle heading off to a “friendly” bikers café for the best pizza ever.
